About Cogit Development
What is Cogit Development?
Cogit Development is a small independent team building tools for Discord communities: free and paid bot hosting (CogitHost), server protection (Cogit Security), Minecraft status embeds, and custom bot or website work. We also publish original educational articles for bot developers on this site.
Is this only a landing page?
No. Alongside product entry points we maintain an about page, long-form guides, contact, and public terms and privacy documents so users and partners can evaluate us without joining a Discord first.
CogitHost and free hosting
What can I host for free?
Free tiers are aimed at Discord bots (commonly Node.js or Python). General website hosting, open reverse proxies, and unrelated workloads are outside free-tier policy. Details live in the hosting guide and panel terms.
Why is there verification or branding on free plans?
Free capacity is finite. Verification and light branding reduce abandoned servers and multi-accounting so the pool stays available for active community bots. Paid plans are the path to fewer restrictions and higher resources.
Do you need my Discord bot token?
We never ask you to paste a token into a random chat. You place the token in your server’s environment configuration yourself. Read token safety before deploying.
Can free bots receive Top.gg webhooks?
Inbound HTTPS for free servers is limited. Some networks offer a relay or require premium networking. Confirm current options in panel docs before promising vote rewards that depend on webhooks.
Security and abuse
Are self-bots allowed?
No. Automating user accounts violates Discord’s Terms of Service and our hosting rules. Only proper bot tokens from the Discord Developer Portal are permitted.
What about IP probing or malware?
Customers must not run tooling that probes infrastructure, spreads malware, or attacks third parties. We may suspend or remove servers that violate policy.
Content and contact
Can I reuse your blog guides?
You may link to our articles. Do not copy them wholesale onto other monetized sites. Reach out via contact for licensing questions.
How do I get support?
Use the contact page or the Discord community linked from the site header. Include your panel username and a clear description—never include live tokens in tickets.
